Hi, I’m Cassie (KC)!
I am a certified yoga instructor who likes to bring the joys of yoga to people of all ages. I’ve had a love for physical fitness, competitive swimming and sports in general from a young age. Following my belief that we should all pursue the things that make us happy in life, I have allowed my passion for active living to guide me.
I have a B.Sc., Kinesiology (McGill, 2004) and a B.Ed., Elementary Generalist (University of Calgary, 2009). Prior to becoming a school teacher and yoga instructor, I taught skating, swimming, and physical education to children for many years, an experience that provided a fantastic base for teaching yoga.
In 2007, I finished a Level 1 foundation course in GYROKINESIS® in Miami, Florida, under the instruction of Juliu Horvarth. In 2012, I completed a 200-hour Teacher Training Program with Kevin Elander (Yoga Mandala) and Hart Lazer (United Yoga Montreal).
I use my knowledge of the human body and training as a professional teacher to take a fun yet instructional approach with my yoga classes. My yoga teacher training taught me that there are many layers of a personal yoga practice. To me, yoga is about staying fit, relaxing, releasing energy, feeling good and, most importantly, perfecting the pose.
Please check out the services section to find out when/where I’m teaching yoga next.
You can also contact me about booking private and semi-private lessons at your home or office or to inquire about my yoga for kids program.
I hope to see you soon!
